Launch IoT Soft Front Panel

At this point, verify that you have set up the appropriate connections for the hardware and installed the licenses to use the IoT Soft Front Panel. You may turn on the X8721A IoT Wireless Test Set. 

  1. On your desktop, search for the shortcut created to launch Keysight PathWave Desktop Edition. The icon looks like the one below.


  2. At the My PathWave Home page, click IoT Soft Front Panel to launch the application. 


  3. From the instrument selection, connect to your X8721A IoT Wireless Test Set (as shown by the green check mark). You may verify the status of the connected X8721A using Keysight Connection Expert. 


  4. The software will load a savedSettings.json file by default. This is a settings file that will contain the software settings. To load a previously saved settings file, click File > Open Settings File. 

    Other functions under the File button are as follows:
    1. Open Settings File: Click this to load a previously saved settings file.
    2. Save and Save Settings As: Click either of this buttons to save the settings file under the same or different name. You may be prompted to save the changes in this file before you exit the IoT Soft Front Panel software.
    3. Load Default Settings: Click this to load the default settings.

Now that you have launched the IoT Soft Front Panel application, proceed to select the desired radio and configure the associated settings to suit your test requirements.
