Overview of Licensing

First: Purchase a Product. Then:

Step 1: Install the Software

On the machine you want to license,

    1. Start PathWave Desktop Edition.
    2. Click , then Manage Software.
    3. If the service is not installed, click Install New Service.
    4. After the service is installed, click Software in the title bar, then Licenses and Support.
    5. Copy this machine’s host ID.
      (You’ll need this host ID to get your license.)

Step 2: Get Your License

On any machine with internet access,

    1. Find your entitlement certificate for the purchased product. 
      Typically your entitlement certificate is emailed to you, but in some cases the a paper copy is shipped with the purchased product.
      If you want to use a free trial license, follow the instructions in How do I get a free trial license? and then proceed to step 2(b).
    2. Find the host ID of the machine to license — see Step 1(e) above.
    3. Visit www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager and follow the steps to request a license.
      If you don’t have a myKeysight account, you will be guided to create one.

Step 3: Install Your License

On the machine you want to license,

    1. Start PathWave Desktop Edition.
    2. Click , then Manage Software.
    3. Click the + Add a License File button.
      Follow the steps to install your license.
