Getting Started
PathWave Desktop Edition is a design and test software platform that accelerates product development workflow. It connects every step from design, simulation, prototype, test, to manufacturing. It is an open, modular, scalable, and predictive platform built to help you quickly set up and customize your environment to enhance your workflow and increase productivity.
PathWave helps to:
- accelerate design and test
- save transition time between phases in your workflow by using common data and settings
- connect and manage compatible hardware
PathWave Desktop Edition consists of the following components:
- Software Platform: Provides a set of common features that helps in communication and management. The software platform includes the following:
- Common Graphical User Interface (GUI)
- Connectivity for services, instruments, and data
- Data Management
- Licensing
- PathWave Services: A PathWave service is a modular software application developed on the PathWave platform. Each service provides a solution to address a specific problem. The services are installed in the Software View, using the Install a New Service option. Each service requires its own additional license. The following are examples of PathWave services:
- PathWave Test Automation: Provides powerful, flexible, and extensible test sequence and test plan creation with additional capabilities that optimize your test software development and overall performance.
- Event Based Power Analysis: Enables you to detect design weakness with quick and effortless event-based power consumption analysis and easily estimate battery life of your IoT device.
- Instrument Families: The instrument families are sets of instrument models that can be configured and used with the software platform.
