Set Up Hardware

Common User Setups

Based on the above mentioned hardware, the following section illustrates examples of hardware setup depending on your choice of DUT and test requirement.

  • N6705C Two-Channel Configuration
    • Option 1: Connect an over-the-air DUT with self advertising or in test mode
    • Option 2: Pair an external companion device in signaling mode
  • N6705C Four-Channel Configuration
    • Sense voltage or current response to synchronize the events
  • N6705C Two-Channel Configuration for Non-RF Events
    • Sense voltage or current response without the use of Channel 2 set to ‘Power Detector’ function. This is the typical setup when installing a double-wide SMU module in the N6705C as it will occupy two slots in the N6705C and disable the use of Channel 2 to detect RF power.
